Bangkok: Part 2

My whirlwind 48 hours in Bangkok has almost come to an end. So strange to be back where we started a full month ago! Got a chance to see the Bangkok sights this time: WatPho and its impressive Reclining Buddha, the Grand Palace and Emarald Buddha, Chinatown and its many shark fin restaurants.

For our last night on the tour, we decided to class it up and go to Sky Bar with its amazing views (and prices to match) made famous in the Hangover 2. The drinks were delightful, though we seemed to mostly be surrounded by other backpackers in the best clothes they could assemble from their bag for a big night out.

Today was a day for shopping: the Chatachuk Weekend Market did not disappoint. We saw everything from live animals to handmade soaps, life-sized Star Wars figures made from recycled metal to every kind of chopstick one could imagine. I highly recommend the market, if only to wander through the 35 acres of stalls.

Off to Khao San Road for my last night before heading down to Koh Phi Phi for a little beach time!

Its such as you learn my thoughts! You appear to understand a lot approximately this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I feel that you can do with a few percent to power the message house a little bit, however instead of that, that is wonderful blog. An excellent read. I’ll certainly be back.
